Spectrum Collections 12 Piece Siren Brush Set & Roll Review

I have been trying this brush set out for a little while now and thought it was time to share my thought.

I purchased this Spectrum Collections 12 piece Siren brush set and roll for $219AUD through Lipstick Republic. I used the payment method AfterPay which is great as you can pay off your order in four, interest free fortnightly payments, but your order gets processed and sent out like it would if you paid up front. This is a great payment to have to products like this which sell out so fast when they come back in stock and are a little pricey, so you might not have all the money to pay for it upfront. I definitely recommend using AfterPay! And Lipstick Republic has some great products on their site and their service and shipping time is always top notch!

I have wanted this set for so long! The moment I laid eyes on it I knew that I needed it in my life. Spectrum brushes are 100% vegan and cruelty free, using the highest quality of synthetic hair for their brushes.

The brushes are so incredibly soft and are an absolute dream to use. They pick up product so well, better than any other brushes that I have used. They haven’t shed at all yet and had no issues with cleaning them. The only thing I feel like this set is missing is a small packing brush for metallic shadows and pigments but besides that it’s the perfect set for travelling as if has everything else you could possibly need.

Brush breakdown

C02 – Flat Contour

I didn’t have any great contour brushes before this set. This contour brush is perfect for exactly that. It’s quite dense so picks up a lot of product, so need to be light handed with it but it gives me the perfect contour and it also great for applying your bake under your contour.

A05 – Precision Blush

This is one of my favourite brushes in the set and I use it everyday I do my makeup! I use it with my blush and highlight and it blends everything out so easily.

A01 – Large Powder

Every set needs a good powder brush and this is no exception! I use this with my setting powder to set my entire face and because of the size of it and the amount of product it picks up it makes sort work of it!

B01 – Buffing Foundation

If you don’t own a flat kabuki brush like this you need one! And this is one of my favourites that I have used. Perfect for apply and blending in my foundation and concealer for when I am in a hurry and can’t be bothered using a seperate brush for my concealer.

C04 – Angled Powder

Another one of my favourites in this set is this bad boy. The C04 is the PERFECT bronzer brush! I’m completely obsessed with this brush and I think everyone needs it.

A15 – Lip Liner

I haven’t used this as a lip liner yet so I can’t comment on how it works for that but I love using it to apply my inner corner or brow bone highlight.

A17 – Angled Brow

The PERFECT brush for brows! It is just the right stiffness to create a sharp line but also glides across the skin effortlessly without pulling across the skin.

B06 – Tall Tapered Blender

Love this brush for diffusing eye shadow and blending out my crease and transition shades.

A12 – Fine Detailer (it says A19 on their website but it’s A12 on my brush)

I used this brush for my crease and out v shades and it blends everything together so well. Definitely upped my eyeshadow game!

B04 – Angled Blended

Another great blending brush!

A06 – Large Fluffy Shader

This has got to be my favourite brush in the set! It is the BEST brush for applying a skin toned shadow all over my lid to use as a base for the rest of my eyeshadows. I could never find a brush that was perfect for that till now. It’s just the right size and picks up a lot of product so it makes this step a lot quicker for me than it used to be with smaller shader brushes.

B03 – Precision Buffer

And lastly is this guy. This brush is great for concealer and spot colour correcting.

Well I hope you enjoyed reading my review on these incredible brushes. I highly recommend them and they are worth every cent.

    1. I know right! They are stunning. I included the price in the post but they are on the more expensive side but not really when you divide the piece up between all the brushes you get. As far as I know u can get just the face or just the eye sets instead of this full set. You can buy them straight from the spectrum collections website, lipstick republic and beauty bay. But I’m sure more places would sell them.
