August has been so flat out for me, which you could probably tell from the lack of posts the last few weeks. I was under the pump with uni and exams so I didn’t get the chance to spend much time here but I’m going to try and plan it better this study period so I have weekly posts up for you guys.
I have a few favourites this month, some I’ve only had for a few weeks but I know already they are staples in my collection. So let’s get into it!
If you follow my Instagram (@chantelleelisebeauty) you know how much I’ve been loving these products.
Too Faced Born This Way Concealer in Very Fair
I’ve seen this concealer on social media EVERYWHERE for the past few months, so when it finally came out at Mecca I went there as soon as I could and picked up the lightest shade ‘Very Fair’. The shade range is fairly good but I do wish that there was one or two shades lighter than very fair as this shade matches my skin tone perfectly but I can’t highlight with it.
Manicare Airbrush mega powder/bronzer brush
I received this brush from Manicare and the Bloggers United AU event I went to earlier in the month and I can’t stop using it!
It’s the perfect all over powder brush, it’s not as soft as my Spectrum or Morphe Elite brushes but it comes pretty close. 🙂
Urban Decay Vice lipstick in Rapture
When Mecca released the Vice lipsticks from Urban Decay I was so excited to get my first Urban Decay lipstick. I went into store and was overwhelmed by the choice but ‘Rapture’ stood out to me. I love purple shades and this Cream formula shade is perfect for me. I’m trying not to use it everyday, but it’s so pretty!
Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow shade 1
I received this sample size gimme brow with the August issue of Elle magazine and to be honest it was the only reason I purchased the magazine. I got the shade 1 and it’s perfect for me. This is the first time I’ve tried Gimme brow and I now understand why everyone loves it so much! It gives my brows a nice touch of colour, while also keeping my brow hairs in place all day! If you’re in Australia you can get Gimme Brow from Sephora. When this sample runs out I’ll definitely be ordering a replacement ASAP!
Benefit Cosmetics Brow Zings shade 2
I went into a Benefit Cosmetics counter in Myer at the start of the month and asked if they could help me out with my brows, as I was completely lost with what to use and how to do them. They used Brow Zings on my brows and I couldn’t believe the result. I had perfectly formed and filled in brows that gave great shape to my face but still looked natural.
It comes with a double ended brush and tweezers which are great to have on the go. The wax and powder are so easy to work with and this is the perfect kit to have in any makeup collection or bag. This baby goes with me everywhere.
Available at Sephora.
Goof Proof Brow pencil shade 2
In the middle of the photo above is one of the easiest products to use to create the perfect brows, everytime! The goof proof brow pencil has on one end a spoolie to brush through your brows so you can map out what shape you’re going for with your brows and is also great to brush through after you have used your brow products to make sure everything is blended.
On the other side is the actual pencil which is in a tear shape which makes it so easy to fill in and shape your brows.
Available at Sephora.
Shanghai Suzy Dusty Rose lipstick
This lipstick was also a gift I received in my goodie bag from the Bloggers United AU event that I went to as Shanghai Suzy was generous enough to give us all a pack of their lipsticks to try out. I straight away gravitated to this matte lipstick in the shade Dusty Rose. It’s my go to everyday lipstick now and it smells like grape. I’m obsessed!!
And finally my last favourites of the month is this blush I received from Moo Goo at the Bloggers United AU event. It’s the perfect flush of pink on the cheeks and it blends out so nicely! The packaging is also really cute 🙂 definitely one of my favourite blushes at the moment.
Well that’s all for the month of August, hope you enjoyed reading and let me know what your favourites were in the comments section.
