My Everyday Makeup Bag

So if you’re like me and a complete makeup junkie there is no way all of your makeup would fit in one makeup bag (I kinda miss that) but if I had to just have one makeup bag of products for travel, an overnight trip or just my basics that never fail me for everyday this would be what I would use. These products I highly recommend and they have never failed me. Once you have read this post I would love to know what holy grail products you would put in your everyday makeup bag.

Also, I have an exciting giveaway for my followers at the end of this post so don’t forget to check that out!

Firstly, it’s super important to have the right makeup bag to fit all of your products in neatly. I didn’t want a massive bag so that I would have way too many products in there but it also needed to be large enough to fit my essentials in an organised way. This is where Beat Bag came in. I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect makeup bag for so long and I came across Beat Bag’s Instagram and I completely fell in love with the design of their makeup bags! So I added both colours to my cart, because they are both stunning and I couldn’t choose and they even have AfterPay!! So it’s basically free right?? haha. They arrived in no time at all and I am so impressed with the quality of them from the lining to the zippers it is durable and perfect for what I needed in a makeup bag.

They also have a mesh pocket and elastic holders to keep all your makeup or brushes organised.

So now I have the makeup bag sorted here’s what i’d put in my everyday makeup bag!

All about that Base

The more I’ve got into makeup the more I have realised how important it is to have the perfect base. With these products I can achieve that.

MAC Prep + Prime Fix +  is an absolute must have for me as I use it everyday underneath my foundation, to set my powders down, intensify metallic eyeshadows, dampen my beauty blender, everything!

Mecca Max Illuminating Primer is also a staple of mine as it give my skin great hydrating and leaves my skin glowing and ready for foundation. I do apply a pore filling primer on my cheeks and t-zone if needed as well as this primer does nothing to hide my pores.

Nars Sheer Glow foundation in Gobi is a long time love of mine and it absolutely never fails me and has such a beautiful natural finish with great coverage and is great for everyday and nights out. This is the one foundation that I always get compliments on when I wear it.

Tarte Clay Stick foundation in Fair Neutral is a new favourite of mine and is great if I want a more full coverage foundation and it sticks to the skin and is really long lasting on me. Because I am more normal to dry I need to really moisturise my skin before applying this foundation and find that it looks best on me applied with a beauty blender.

Tarte Shape Tape concealer in Fair is by far the best high coverage concealer i’ve ever used and is a must have for me. I’m almost out of this one so i’ve got another on the way. I can’t live without it in my routine!

Powder, Powder, Powder!

Now this was a hard category to choose just one powder, one bronzer, one blush and one highlighter but I am happy with my choices as these are the best of the best!

Fenty Beauty Invisimatte Blotting powder is as the name suggests a blotting powder which is great throughout the day if needed but I also love to use it to lightly set my foundation and concealer. It is so light weight and doesn’t make my makeup look cakey so it’s a win for me!

Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer is probably one of the hardest products to get your hands on at Priceline but once I finally managed to get it I completely understood why it’s always sold out. This bronzer is my absolute favourite bronzer! For my fair skin it is the perfect shade as its not warm and has a buildable formula which just glides on the skin effortlessly and blends out perfect without being patchy. If you don’t own this bronzer you need it in your life ASAP!

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour blush in Exposed is without doubt my go to blush for every look! Tarte in my opinion make the best blushes on the market and I definitely need to pick up more shades.

Models Own Sculpt and Glow Highlighter powder in Golden Sand is a super new product to me as I only picked it up from Priceline this week but it had to go in this post because it is the BEST highlighter available in Priceline in my opinion! It is so buttery and blinding and the pigment is so intense I can’t get enough of it!

Brows on Point!

Honestly you can never go wrong with Benefit brow products and these two are my favourite go to products to do my brows almost every day!

My Favourite part, EYES!!!

Eyes are always the part where I have fun and get creative with my makeup!

Australis x KPOP all in one mascara has been my favourite lately is it coats my lashes so well and never gets clumpy.

Maybelline HyperSharp liquid liner has been the only lquid liner i’ve used for my winged liner for years and I also have a back up ready to go. It is so black, lasts all day and is super easy to use to create the perfect wing.

Colourpop Cosmetics pressed powder eyeshadows have quickly become my favourite eyeshadows to use and their shade range is insane and they constantly bring out more and more shades! This is my go to palette I made up with my favourite shades. If you want to find out the shade names they are in my Colourpop Cosmetics Fall 2017 pressed eyeshadows – review and swatches post.

Lipstick Junkie

Now I always have a tonne of different lipsticks in my makeup bag, especially when I travel (I sometimes even give them their own bag!) but for the purpose of this post I wanted to show you my go to everyday lipsticks that never fail.

MAC Lipstick in Velvet Teddy is fairly new to me (well, this year) and I no understand why everyone goes nuts for it. It’s a shade that I can put on and not worry about the rest of my look, this is the perfect nude for any look i’m going for and it’s super comfortable on the lips!

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour liquid lipstick in Celebrity Skin is more of a cool toned darkish nude on me and i’m obsessed! It is my favourite formula of liquid lipstick and easily lasts all day on my lips even with eating and drinking.

Well I hope you enjoyed reading about my favourite products and seeing exactly what would go in my makeup bag for travel or everyday.

Now for the giveaway! I reached out to Beat Bag after falling in love with their makeup bags and asked if they would be interested in doing a giveaway for my followers, which they were keen to do and as a Australian brand that has great quality makeup bags I wanted my followers to have a chance to win a bag of your choice! so all you have to do is follow this link to my Instagram and follow the instructions on this photo! It’s that easy! Good Luck!

  1. Some great products in your everyday makeup bag. I like the bag, it looks spacious and it does fit the Mac prep and prime fix, It is one of my favorite setting sprays.

      1. Apologies for the late reply!! They are recalling it because its causing eye irritation. Using it on the brows as it’s intended seems to be fine apparently but if it gets in the eye it has been causing irritation. They’re taking them back wherever you bought it from. I havent bothered taking mine back as I can’t remember where I got it from haha! xx
